Benefits of Becoming a U.S. Citizen

The right to vote is a fundamental right of a citizen of U.S.

 A citizen of the United States offers many privileges. Voting in elections is a privilege. The new citizens are expected to participate in elections and adhere to the principles of tolerance and understanding of different points of view, which is the philosophical system of government of the United States.

 Some immigrants who, because of its close relationship with U.S. citizens are exempt from the numerical limitations imposed on immigration to the United States. Immediate relatives are: spouses of U.S. citizens, children (under 21 years of age and unmarried) of U.S. citizens, and parents of U.S. citizens 21 years of age or older.

 Permanent residents may lose their status if they leave the country for 180 days or more, and in case of prolonged absence, must obtain a reentry permit. However, as a U.S. citizen, are not limited to the amount of time you can spend outside the U.S. and are not subject to obtaining a reentry permit. In addition, the trip may be more convenient because many countries do not require visas of U.S. citizens.
